Camden and Islington are hosting today an event at the Conference Hall in St Pancras Hospital offering those suffering with mental health conditions employment opportunities.
Organised by the association Mental Health Working, the event offers services to those wishing to enter employment despite mental health issues. Some potential employent opportunities are even branded as beneficial to the employee, boosting mental health and wellbeing.
Support services include:
Tailored mental health support
Coping strategies
personalised support plans to hep you find, remain or return to work
specialist guidance, advice and information that will prepare you for employment
access to training and education
employment support to find work and access to work experience and placements
Support for employers to understand mental health and how they can help with your employment
These services don’t just stop there as it also offers specialist employment support to those already in work, or in need of help to remain or return to employment.
Other than workshops, the event will also be hosting guest speakers with success stories from The Recovery College, Volunteer Centre Islington and Welfare Benefit Information.
