Supermarket giant Morrisons will be slashing alcohol prices by as much as seventy five per cent this weekend.
In one deal, they are offering a three litre bottle of Jack Daniels whiskey, which normally costs £115, for £50.
The Integrated Camden Alcohol Service has criticised these new deals.
The charity is arguing that vulnerable people such as alcoholics are not being taken into consideration when making the deals and that super markets such as Morrisons need to be more careful. There are nearly thirty thousand binge drinkers in Camden, and there is a risk that the deals with encourage excessive drinking over the weekend.
On top of the risk that alcohol has on vulnerable people in the area, Camden council say they are struggling to cope with alcohol related crimes.
Morrisons declined to comment for City News, but the deals will be running all day on Friday.
