A new app called Babee On Board will launch in February.

The app alerts commuters to the presence of pregnant passengers so that they can be given seating on trains and buses. The app hopes to replace the traditional ‘Baby On Board’ badges issued by Transport for London.

The app was developed by 10X, a creative technology company based in London. Babee On Board alerts passengers within 15 feet of pregnant women who would like to sit down on transport. The developers say that the app is meant to alleviate the awkwardness around asking women if they are pregnant or would like to sit down.
