Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and Whittington Health NHS Trust team up for a year-long Your Futures project.

The mentoring project will be running out of Whittington Hospital in Haringey, involving youths who have suffered from injury or trauma through violence.

The Your Futures project will see workshops on topics ranging from anti-knife crime, conflict resolution, sexual awareness to employment and sports development.

In its pilot phase, Your Futures will have a member of Tottenham Hotspur Foundation staff provide regular one-to-one mentoring for young people who are admitted to the emergency department of the hospital.

Tottenham Hotspur Foundation chief executive, Grant Cornwell, explained that the project, “uses the power of football to engage with some of the most vulnerable, disadvantaged and difficult-to-reach members of society.”

The initiative will initially aim to help 40 victims of youth violence from the local community of Haringey.
