These high-speed trains which are being launched in the next three years could help the UK maintain links to Europe post-Brexit

The German rail operator Deutsche Bahn is announcing plans to run trains between the two capital cities, as early as 2020, according to The Times.

The new service would complete the 400-mile journey through the Channel tunnel in five hours and would be launched as Britain pulls of of the European Union.

Plans were previously halted in 2013 because of a lack of high-speed trains.
