Police were called to Oxford Street at 6:30 a.m. after reports of a a seriously injured man on the pavement near Harewood Place.
The London Ambulance Service and the London Air Ambulance Service attended the scene and the individual, who is believed to be a window cleaner in his forties, was rushed to a central London hospital.
Spencer Jones, an accountant that witnessed the incident, told the Press Association that the accident occurred outside a ‘New Balance’ branch about 200 yards from Oxford Circus station.

And another Twitter user @AlexScottlrv posted: “Guy fell off the building (window cleaner) alive but badly injured.”
According to the Police, the surrounding roads will remain closed until emergency services resolve the situation.
