The Wrap Up initiative is inviting people to donate their unwanted coats.

Wrap Up London is organised by Hands On, a network that advises volunteers and charities to effectively support the local community.

Wrap Up London is an initiative that has been going for the 7th year running.

Volunteers collect unwanted coats from the public in 6 tube stations around London between 13th – 15th November.

The coats are taken to safestore locations and are collected to give to charities that support the homeless, refugees, children living in poverty and people fleeing domestic violence

This year they hope to receive 22,000 coats, but last year they received many more women’s coats and not enough men’s.

75% of all rough sleepers were in Inner London in 2016/17, with 32% in Westminster and 43% in other Inner London boroughs.
