A new first aid game is taking off.

Imagine this:

You are driving along a country road, when a van ahead of you stops abruptly…

You then see a bicycle slide across the road in front of it?

The cyclist is now lying on the road and not moving…

What should you do next?

This is just one scenario from a new interactive First Aid board game, created by City University’s School of Health Sciences in collaboration with Focus Games.

It is designed to target health professionals by confronting them with real-life scenarios to improve their confidence in emergency situations.

As you progress, scenarios aim to stimulate discussion, encouraging players to share knowledge and experiences with First Aid.

This is the third board game for health and social care professionals which has been developed by The First Aid Game follows the already successful Drug Round Game and Drug Recovery Game.

The First Aid Game leads players through four common emergency scenarios – road traffic collision, scald, choking and chest pain, challenging them to think about safety, prioritising casualties and incident management to provide safe and effective first aid.

Questions and scenarios in the game are designed to stimulate discussion, encouraging players to share knowledge and experiences and to learn from each other.
