A 16-year-old boy was charged with murder while two other teenagers, aged 16 and 17, were charged with murder and violent disorder.

Police said that all three suspects will appear in custody at Croydon Magistrates’ Court today.

Lewis Blackman was found by police in Logan Place in Kensington in the early hours on 18 February. Officers had attended the area after reports of a disturbance and a large number of vehicles.

Mr Blackman, from Camden, was given first aid after he was found injured at 03:20 but died at the scene.

“Lovely and funny” aspiring rapper

Police said they had arrested another 16-year-old, who has been released on bail, while another 16-year-old and a 19-year-old have been released under investigation.

Mr Blackman was an aspiring rapper and was described by his friends as “lovely and funny”.

A post-mortem examination found he died from stab wounds to the chest. He was the 14th person to be fatally stabbed in the capital in 2018.
