A skyscraper climber, known as ‘French Spiderman’, has today tackled the 200m tall Heron Tower in the City of London.
Alain Robert, who has previously climbed Dubai’s 828m Burj Khalifa and the London’s Lloyds building, began his ascent early this afternoon.
Apart from gloves and chalk for his hands, Robert does not use ropes or safety gear for his climbs.
The 56-year-old adrenaline junkie said: “I fully feel alive when my life is at stake. It may sound a bit scary and crazy but this is the way it is.”

They also attempted to usher a growing crowd away from the scene.
The climb is unlawful so Robert always carries his passport to reassure the authorities when he is eventually arrested.
