The King's Hotel, where Miguel St. Martin was apprehended by police officers.

A man alleged to have been involved in a raid on a Boodles store in King’s Cross has missed his court hearing.

Miguel St. Martin refused to attend Blackfriars Crown Court as his trial for robbery continues.

He is accused of stealing several items from Boodles in Kings Cross and Yves Saint Laurent in Mayfair and stabbing a have-a-go hero.

Harry Doyle, 18, Reece Salmon, 22, Alfie Warry, 21 are also on trial.

The prosecution began proceedings by showing CCTV that placed Mr. Martin nearby the crime scene, at the Kings Hotel.

CCTV footage showed Mr. Martin, accompanied by three other men, entering the Kings Hotel at 1:05am.

A group left Mr. Martin at the hotel half an hour later and moved several items into the boot of a Ford Focus that had pulled up outside.

The prosecution moved on to the Police search of the hotel the following morning at approximately 11:30.

PC Hefford recounted that they surrounded the hotel and arrested Mr. Martin as he attempted to flee out a window.

Police later searched his room and along with a full-faced balaclava, they found two Yves Saint Lauren handbags.

Perhaps the most powerful piece of evidence, to partner the handbags shown, was the knife measuring about 9 inches in length.

The court has been adjourned as legal deliberations will start for a week and will resume on the 29th November.
