A man has been found guilty of drink driving at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court.
The defendant, Kofi Manutaka, was pulled over in July after police noticed he did not have a valid MOT but it was a can of Guinness in the cup holder that raised suspicions.
The officer breathalysed him and found he was twice over the legal limit for alcohol consumption.
Mr Manutaka admitted to being guilty on the spot.
Due to two previous convictions for drink driving within the past 10 years, he was handed a three-year driving disqualification and fined a total of £350 in fees.
His defence today said the verdict would have a “devastating impact on him as well as his family,” as he is a delivery driver.
