Transport bosses are facing criticism over a £350 million application to move Victoria Coach Station.
TFL chiefs are deliberating to move the station to Royal Oak, near Paddington.
Opened in 1932, the station serves 14 million passengers a year.
Its lease is set to expire in 2023.
Bayswater Labour councillor Maggie Carman believes the area is “completely unsuitable”.
As well as that, Carman fears the move could increase the level of rough sleepers in the area of the new site.
Nearly 250,000 coaches go through the terminal annually, which serves 1,200 destinations in the UK and 400 foreign cities.
However, local campaigners are pushing for the station to be re-located to Stratford or Heathrow .
TFL claim no final decision has been made.
