Over half of all anti-Semitic hate crimes recorded in the UK last year took place in London, new figures have revealed.
Jewish charity Community Security Trust (CST) found 1,652 antisemitic incidents took place in the UK last year.
Greater London, an area with one of the largest Jewish communities in the UK, accounted for 950 of all total incidents, a rise of 21% on last year.
Barnet recorded the highest level of incidents of all London boroughs with 354.
Westminster placed second with 89. Hackney was third with 66.

CST said it’s 2018’s figures are the highest since it began collecting data in 1984.
Home Secretary Sajid Javid commented on the figures, calling acts of anti-antisemitism “utterly despicable”.
“The Jewish community should not have to tolerate these attacks and we are doing all we can to rid society of these poisonous views,” Javid added.
The home secretary confirmed he will be co-chairing an anti-Semitism roundtable to discuss the figures.
