An armed robber is on the run after raiding a bank and stealing cash from a Barclays bank in Vauxhall Bridge.
Officers arrived at the bank at 11.03am on 21 February following an armed robbery alert.
A man reportedly entered Barclays bank in Vauxhall, armed with a firearm and demanded cash. A member of staff reportedly handed over the money.
Photos circulated on social media allege to show police sniffer dogs in Vauxhall Bridge area and a large cordon in place around the bank.
Lambeth police have released an update on Twitter.
We are investigating a robbery at 11am on 21 Feb at a bank in #Vauxhall Bridge Road, SW1. A male suspect with a firearm made off with a sum of money. No injuries. No arrest yet. Flying Squad officers are on the case.
