British Transport Police (BTP) officers were called to the station at 9.58am on Tuesday (May 14).
Police and paramedics were rushed to the station today just before 10am but the person was pronounced dead.
British Transport Police said the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
Services are suspended on South Western Railway between London Waterloo and Wimbledon.
The operator said disruption is expected until 3pm today.
