On the roads
Traffic cleared slowly on the M25 clockwise after an exit slip road has reopened. There was a broken down van between Junction 25 in Enfield and Junction 26 in Waltham Abbey. This caused delays all morning, but was soon moved to clear the roads.
The A406 North Circular Westbound is expected to be closed for the remainder of the morning. It is causing heavy delays from M1 Junction 1 at Staples Corner to the Neasden Interchange. This followed a serious accident in the early hours of the morning.
While on the M1 Southbound between Junctions 1 and 2 saw long delays for two miles. Therefore travel times stood at 30 minutes with traffic backing up from closures on the North Circular.

There is reduced service all day between Gospel Oak and Barking.
A temporary timetable is in place with four carriage trains running every 30 minutes and supplementary busses.
On the underground
Finally, the tube was running fairly smoothly throughout rush hour.
However, this rare sight was marked slightly by short delays on the Bakerloo line, following an absence of train operators at the start of the day.
The line soon freed up, and joined the rest of the underground in a day of good service.
