A warehouse fire in Tottenham has been brought under control.
More than a hundred fire fighters were called to Tottenham in North London this morning to tackle a huge building fire.

It broke out in a warehouse on Garman Road, close to the North Circular.
London Fire Brigade were called to the scene at 00:10. The fire quickly took half of the single-story building.
Fifteen fire engines were battling the fire which was still uncontrolled by 05:00, as a tweet on their website demonstrated:

A further tweet from LFB showed the scale of the smoke, billowing hundreds of feet into the air, this morning:

Nearby residents were warned to make sure their windows and doors are shut, to keep out the smoke.
Station manager, Mike Cotton, who was present at the scene, said: “firefighters are working hard to bring the blaze on the industrial estate under control.
“The fire is not affecting any residential properties.”
The ongoing fire could disrupt local traffic and Watermead Way until this evening.
The London Fire Brigade says: “We want to see sprinklers made mandatory in all purpose built blocks of flats, all homes where vulnerable people live & all buildings housing vulnerable residents such as care homes”.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
