Police are appealing for information after a knife attack in Haringey.
Officers were called to a St Fortis Green Avenue, in Muswell Hill at 01:40 this morning.
A 21-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to a London hospital following the incident.
Police have arrested a 22-year old on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
The Metropolitan Police reports that the victim and perpetrator were at the same property in the hours leading up to the knife attack.
Police investigations continue and Metropolitan Police Detective Inspector Paul Ridley, who is heading up the investigation, is requesting that any witnesses that saw the altercation to come forward ‘as a priority’.
A police cordon remains in place.
Knife crime in the capital is on the rise. According to the Office for National Statistics, the number of knife and sharp instrument offences in year ending June 2019 in the capital was over 15,000.
