Harry Kane has reportedly said he wants to stay at Tottenham Hotspurs for a long long time.
However there are question marks over whether the his negotiated salary will be enough to keep him. BBC chief correspondent Phil McNulty told City News ‘he would be astonished if they didn’t agree a deal, as Kane is an icon for fans and a great player’.
It was reported last week that the Spurs and England forward was to ask for £120,000 per week. This would be a £50,000 increase on his current wage and would bring him in line with Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy.
Kane has been at White Hart Lane since 2009 and still has 3 years left on his current contract. But it looks as if Tottenham will have to be more competitive to keep their star.
