Hackney’s very own undefeated boxer, Ohara Davies, continues his winning run.
The 25 year old Homerton fighter beat veteran Liverpudlian fighter Derry Mathews on Saturday Night and extended his unbeaten record to 15-0.
City News caught up with him to find out about how he plans to celebrate and what’s next following the thrashing defeat.

The win, other than adding to Davies’ undefeated tally, means he retains his WBC silver title.
Davies was too powerful for the old guard, flooring Mathews twice in the bout, before the referee stepped in to call it. The Hackney boxer landed a huge right in the second round, sending his opponents to the ropes. Mathews took a knee to avoid any other hits.
The two fighters had been involved in a war of words on social media in the run up to the fight. All was left on the ring however, as both boxers sat down amicably for press interviews and praised each other’s efforts.
