Former world indoor champion Dwain Chambers returns to racing aged 40.

Provided they meet the qualifying time of 6.6 seconds, the top two in Birmingham will automatically go through to next month’s European Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow.
The London sprinter was born in Islington and raised in Finsbury Park.

Dwain attempted to kick start his career in American football during his two-year doping ban and again in 2007.
He also had an unsuccessful trial spell at rugby league club Castleford Tigers in 2008.
