Queens have announced that tennis stars, Marin Cilic and Stefanos Tsitsipas, will play as part of their 2019 line-up.

Tsitsipas, 20, is on the verge of the top 10 after an excellent 2018 season.

The Greek player beat Roger Federer at the Australian Open, on route to the semi-finals.

His varied style of play is well suited to the grass of the Queens Club.

Tsitsipas said: “I am really excited to be coming to Queens, to play the Fever-Tree Championships for the first time.”

The tournament is an ATP 500 level.

It offers star players an excellent chance to prepare for Wimbledon.

Also joining Tsitsipas, is last year’s champion, Marin Cilic.

Cilic beat Novak Djokovic in the 2018 final and is a regular in the top 10 of the world.

With one grand slam to his name, and a host of ATP titles, Cilic comes with a formidable reputation, and will be well tipped to defend his crown.

Both players join already confirmed, British number one Kyle Edmund in the main draw.

The tournament is set to take place in June of this year, just a few weeks prior to the Wimbledon Championships.
