The Harlequins career of Mike Brown is over after losing his appeal against a six-match ban. The Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel issued the charge after he stamped on the head of hooker Tommy Taylor on 9 May 2021 at Twickenham Stoop.
The Rugby Football Union disciplined Brown with a charge which he initially accepted, but appealed against the length of the ban.
An independent disciplinary panel on Wednesday night dismissed Brown’s attempts to have the ban reduced.
Harlequins have said, ”the club will continue to work with and support Mike through the remainder of time as a Harlequin before he leaves this summer to join Newcastle Falcons”.
Harlequins posted updates of the appeal on Twitter, earlier today.
Mike Brown's six-match suspension has been upheld by an independent disciplinary panel following an appeal hearing last night.
