Johanna Konta has been ruled out of Wimbledon after one of her team tested positive for Covid-19.
This comes on the day the Grand Slam starts at The All England Club after a year away due to Covid-19.
Konta, seeded 27, will have to isolate for 10 days. As a result, she will not play in the grass-tournament this year.
In the first round, she was set to play Katerina Siniakova of the Czech Republic.
Johanna Konta has been withdrawn from The Championships – in line with government legislation she is required to self-isolate for 10 days having been classified as a close contact of a positive test for COVID-19.
Yafan Wang will take her position in the draw as a lucky loser.

Yafan Wang takes the British number one’s place, she is ranked at 123.
Konta is the second player to withdraw from the championships.
Denmark’s Frederik Nielson withdrew from the tournament on Saturday after his coach tested positive.
Konta was excited to be back at Wimbledon this year after reaching the semi-final in 2017.
She was entering the tournament on good form after winning a grass-court warm-up in Nottingham earlier this month.
Players will stay in a bio-secure bubble and are tested regularly.
And they are staying in central London hotels with teams limited to three people.
Fans are capped at 50% this year as part of the government-approved ‘pilot event’ for the safe return of crowds to sporting events.
