London Broncos have signed Papua New Guinea international Wellington Albert for their 2022 Championship campaign.
The rugby league footballer joined League 1 club Keighley for the 2021 season but missed the whole of it through injury.
Broncos coach Jermaine Coleman assured fans that he would be “fit and firing” in time for next year’s championship: “Wellington comes with a fantastic reputation and at his best is difficult to handle. He has proven that at all levels of the game.”
The Broncos are going part-time in 2022 but Albert says the move to London played a major role in his decision.
“My family and I are really excited to come down to London and experience the big city life”.
“I should add it will be an honour for me to represent the London Broncos in 2022 and this is made even better by being able to play at the new stadium in front of the great fans I have been told about.”
