Yet manager Ange Postecoglou was not a fan of the events, and played down suggestions that it inspired his team: “I’m not a fan of it. I don’t like the whole bravado, pushing people around. If you’re that brave about things, my players and their players, get into a UFC cage and I’ll see how brave they are.”
Opposition manager, Thomas Frank, questioned why the Tottenham players allowed the celebration to bother them.
“If they are talking about darts celebrations winding them up, then I think they have an issue, personally.”
Though he agreed with his Spurs counterpart that players should concentrate on football.
