As menial jobs are increasingly threatened by technological advances, and we become more absorbed into our personal computer devices, Of the Crowd explores the point at which human and computer might overlap.

Placing the audience directly into the narrative, creators Laura Kurlansky and Victoria Watson, craft a visual-aural world around the viewer. Considering new ways of thinking about technology, creativity and our addiction to progress, ‘Of the Crowd’, draws its inspiration from video games and the rise of technology. As the performance instructions suggest, ‘put your headphones on and enter the dream-like world.’
