American pop band, Sir Rosevelt, will perform in London tonight for the first time at Scala in Islington. The trio features Zac Brown, of the Grammy Award-winning Zac Brown Band, songwriter Niko Moon, and instrumentalist, Ben Simonetti.
The band will release its debut album later this year.
The trio previously collaborated on Zac Brown Band’s 2015 album ‘Jekyll + Hyde’ and composed much of the Sir Rosevelt’s new album while touring with Brown. They describe their sound as a mix of pop, dance and Southern sensibility.
Zac Brown Band headlined the Country 2 Country Festival last week in London, Dublin and Glasgow. Zac Brown said he will stay to perform an intimate gig with Sir Rosevelt at Scala.
“Scala is such a legendary venue and to get the chance to play our debut gig on the same stage that the likes of Iggy Pop and Lou Reed performed on is just unbelievable,” he said. “We’re definitely gonna bring the energy onstage.”
