The music legend, Sir Elton, says that after having children with husband David Furnish, “my priorities have changed”- he now wants to spend more time with friends and family. The singer and Furnish have two sons – seven year old Zachary and five year old Elijah. “I’m not stopping music, I’ll be hopefully be making new records and working on musicals but mostly I’ll be taking my kid to soccer academy which is the most important thing,” he said.
Before retiring, the North-London-born star behind hits such as ‘Rocket Man’, ‘Your Song’ and ‘Tiny Dancer’ will do a final three-year tour before retiring, which is due to begin in the US on 8 September.
The seventy-year-old singer reassured fans that he is not in ill health and is putting together the most impressive show of his career to say ‘thank you and goodbye’ to his fans worldwide. Sir Elton will play over three hundred shows over a three-year period.
The tour is due to come to the UK in late 2020.
