The upcoming James Bond film has been delayed again after Daniel Craig suffered an ankle injury while filming in Jamaica.
Craig is believed to have slipped while running in an action sequence.
The subsequent ankle injury saw the film star flown to the U.S for treatment.
Filming that had been scheduled at Pinewood studios in London has now been postponed.
Craig has been injured on set before during his time as James Bond.
He had teeth knocked out in 2006 during the making of Casino Royale, lost a fingertip in 2008 during the filming of Quantum of Solace, and injured his knee while shooting Spectre in 2015.
This setback is not the first for Craig’s long awaited fifth outing as Bond.
Director Danny Boyle was dropped in 2018 and replaced by Cary Fukunaga.
This film features writing from veteran Bond writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, as well as Paul Haggis, Scott Z Burns and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
The film’s original opening date was scheduled for November 2019 but its premiere was delayed until April 2020.
It’s not thought that Craig’s injury will further affect the film’s opening date.
