There’s a new vacancy at the Palace: the first ever social media manager for the Royal Family
On Thursday, The Royal household announced it’s looking for a new digital communications officer.
If you’re socially savvy enough, you could be creating content for the royal family’s platforms, such as their Twitter and Instagram accounts.

You’ll also be managing their website and writing articles; a job tailor-made for Royal fanatics who love socials!
What is the role (and how much will you get paid?)
The Queen isn’t looking for an amateur Snapchatter. Her Royal Highness is expecting a seasoned social supremo to fill the role.
“Your challenge will be to manage and oversee the daily news flow on digital and social networking platforms,” the job application reads.
“With experience of creating and publishing digital and social media content, you’ll be confident using a range of content management systems, social media platforms and analytics tools.
The job application comes over four years after Queen Elizabeth tweeted for the first time. Here it is below:
It is a pleasure to open the Information Age exhibition today at the @ScienceMuseum and I hope people will enjoy visiting. Elizabeth R.
“Whether you’re covering a state visit, award ceremony or Royal engagement, you’ll make sure our digital channels consistently spark interest and reach a range of audiences,” the application continues.
Depending on experience, you could be earning around £30,000 a year in this role, while also nabbing some amazing perks.
Not only will you rub shoulders with royals, but you’ll also receive free lunch, 33 days off per-year and a comfortable pension plan.

The Royal family has become more and more social in recent years. In 2014, the Queen sent her very first tweet.
While in April, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – or Harry and Meghan to you and me, joined Instagram.
The new parents once shared a social presence with Prince William and Kate Middleton. But now, their new Instagram account will be used by Harry and Megan to share both their work and their personal moments.
The @SussexRoyal Instagram account was only set up on April 2 but already has over eight million followers. The account hit a million followers in less than six hours.
Having been late to the social media game, the Royal Family now boast an impressive social following.
The @KensingtonRoyal Instagram account boats one of the biggest fan bases, with nearly nine million followers.
But Harry and Meghan are catching up on it with their Sussex Royal account. Take a look at the chart below to see who reigns supreme.
