Grumpy Cat, an internet sensation famous for her permanently grumpy face, has died aged seven.
Her owners confirmed in a statement that the cat, real name Tardar Sauce, died on Tuesday. They added the cat recently had a urinary tract infection.
The cat’s permanent scowl went viral seven years ago.
Photos of her expression emerged online and spread across social media, causing almost overnight fame for the feline.

Owner Tabitha Bundesen said her famous face was a combination of feline dwarfism and an underbite.
Grumpy Cat quickly rose to fame and in 2014, starred in her own Christmas film, Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever.
Furthermore, in 2015 Madame Tussauds in San Francisco unveiled a waxwork of Grumpy Cat.
