Bowie 75 opened on Monday and is located at the same place where the cover for Bowie’s 1972 album ‘The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust’ and ‘The Spiders from Mars’ was shot.
Fans of Bowie can buy mugs, T-shirts, vinyls, mugs, hats, CDs and listen to his tracks at the new store.
A Magnet Wall, a phone box seen on the album sleeve for ‘The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust” and a DJ set are all nods to iconic work of the star, and part of the immersive experience of the store.
Bowie 75 is part of a year-long celebration for the star, who would have turned 75 in January.
David Bowie, whose real name was David Robert Jones, died of lung cancer in January 2016 aged 69.
A sister store in New York also opened to the public on Monday.
Superfan Clive Daley said: “This store should be open permanently. Bowie deserves a permeant place. It shouldn’t just be for 75 days, it should be forever. ”

Staff member Rodrigo Agapito, also a fan of David Bowie said: “The idea is you can listen, interact and do things that normal shops don’t have. When they [fans] listen to Bowie’s messages they are very emotional. some people cry, laugh, it’s very intense. ”
