A group of Islington employers have committed to doubling the number of jobs paying a fair living wage over the next three years.

The ambitious plans aim to have 3,000 more workers in Islington receiving the London living wage of £10.85 an hour by 2024.

London’s living wage is based on the cost of living in the capital.

The group of 17 employers behind the plan includes employers from the public, voluntary and private sectors.

Islington Council, Whittington Health, the architect firms BDP and AHHM, and City and London Metropolitan Universities are all involved.
