LGBTQ+ venue The Glory has found a new home after it announced the doors of its Shoreditch venue would shut permanently at the end of January.
Late last year, this reporter brought you the story of the announcement of the venue’s closure. Currently it’s run of ‘LAST WEEK!’ events is underway, including a “Barbie Redundancy Party” and multiple Cabaret performances.
The venue announced it had no choice but to close its doors as a result of the building being redeveloped. They were no longer able to operate in the same way.
Now, though an announcement has come from the same owners that The Divine will open in Dalston on 6 February. Its events will follow on from the themes of The Glory.
The new venue has already gained more than six thousand followers on Instagram. One user commented “such a special place and an incredible legacy”.
