The announcement came on the TFL updates site earlier today.

Trains in and out of London Paddington are facing severe delays after a person was hit by a train in the West Drayton area.

Services between Paddington, Heathrow Terminals and Reading were suspended for part of Thursday, before returning to a delayed service.

However, TfL says the Elizabeth line is running a good service now.

Rail operator GWR, which trains from London Paddington to Wales and southwest England, said:

“Train services running to and from these stations are returning to normal but some services will still be cancelled or delayed by up to 60 minutes. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.”

“With the lines having been closed for a few hours earlier this morning, a number of trains and traincrew have been displaced, so some delays and cancellations are possible while we move everything back to the correct locations.

“Passengers are advised to travel as planned as we are operating services on all routes, however should allow additional time to complete their journeys where possible. Ticket acceptance arrangements detailed below remain in place as an alternative whilst disruption is ongoing.”

Heathrow Express said its services had returned to normal.

All other TfL services are operating with minor delays while emergency services deal with the incident.
