As Inter Milan prepares for the second leg of their Champions League semi-final against Barcelona tonight, supporters in London are gearing up for the match.

With the tie poised at 3-3 after a dramatic first leg, one place to watch will be at the Fox on the Green pub in Islington, where the Inter Milan London Fan Club meet every matchday.

Since 2005, Inter Club London have provided a space for fans to come together and follow the team, offering a sense of community for those who support the Nerazzurri (a nickname for the Milanese side) from afar.

The London fan club serves as a central point for supporters, allowing them to watch games together and share the experience.

The idea is to create a place that is second to the San Siro, for like-minded fans who love football

The Inter Milan London Fan Club consists of fans from various backgrounds, including Italians who have moved to the UK and locals who have developed an affinity for the club.

Some fans, like an English supporter who switched allegiance after 45 years of following Tottenham, have found a new connection with Inter Milan.

“I supported Spurs for 45 years” said one fan, who chose to support Inter after years with Tottenham Hotspur. “This is a family – La Famiglia. There is no where else I am happier than here.”

This diversity in supporters highlights the global reach of Inter Milan and the fan club’s openness to anyone interested in joining.

More than just watching football

The fan club provides more than just a place to watch matches. It also organises social events and activities, giving fans opportunities to meet and bond over their shared support for the team.

These gatherings are an important part of the club’s efforts to build a community around Inter Milan.

“For me, it’s about more than just the football,” said another member of Inter Club London. “It’s about the friendships I’ve made here and the connections I’ve built.”

Relationships formed from the love of the game

Beyond the excitement of matchdays, the Inter Milan London Fan Club fosters strong, lasting relationships among its members.

The club organises events, gatherings, and social activities that allow fans to meet each other, share stories, and form friendships.

These connections are just as important as the team’s successes on the pitch.

“For me, it’s about the community we’ve built here,” Paulo Liuzzi, President of the Club, told City News. “We support each other through wins and losses, and that bond is something I really value. It’s not just about football—it’s about the people you meet along the way.”

These social events give fans a chance to interact and form a stronger sense of community, which has become a core part of what the fan club represents.

Dreaming of Champions League glory together

Ahead of tonight’s champions league clash, this London fan club’s sense of community is stronger than ever.

Whether we win or we lose, we will all be here and experience it together.

Fox on the Green provides a space to celebrate the team’s achievements, but also share in the challenges they face in the quest for champions league glory.

“We don’t like to make predictions”, one fan said ahead of the match. “We Inter fans are very superstitious. I wear the same pants on match day for good luck! I wash them of course.”

For supporters in London, Inter Club London remains an important part of the Inter Milan experience, allowing supporters to feel part of something bigger than just a football team.
