Kennedy Udo, 28, Michael Mgbedike, 22 and Emmanuel Okubote, 27 have been sentenced to a total of 40 years. They were found guilty of conspiring to transport firearms and drugs into the UK.
The three men were sentenced on 17 May at Woolwich Crown Court.
Udo was sentenced to eight years and six months in prison. He was found guilty of conspiracy to supply drugs. He was also involved in the fraudulent evasion of a prohibition on the importation of goods.
Mgbedike was sentenced to eight years. He was found guilty of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
Okubote was sentenced to 23 and a half years’ having been found guilty of conspiracy to supply firearms with intent to endanger life.
He was also found guilty for conspiracy to possess ammunition with intent to endanger life. In addition to conspiracy to supply class A drugs and possessing ammunition with intent to endanger life.
Okubote was the ring-leader in the conspiracy. He used the others with less experience to carry out these crimes with him.
On 12 August 2017, two loaded firearms, ammunition and a sound moderator were recovered in France.
The items were stored in a car destined for Folkestone. The car was seized and 990 grams of high purity cocaine were recovered from inside.
