Activist Lorraine Jones Burrell took to X as she walked past the taped-off site in Brixton, appealing to the council and Downing Street to make the streets safer.
She spoke of how she walked through the area to “reassure the locals,” who have grown increasingly wary of letting their children out. She ends her post with the words “this needs to stop.” She refers to the interview as “another shooting,” pointing to the fact that gun violence has been an all too prevalent item in our news feeds.
