A protester threw a milkshake at Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage. The incident happened earlier today at an event in Newcastle.
Sean Seddon, a reporter for the Newcastle Chronicle, tweeted about it. He says that Mr Farage was furious, telling his security staff that it was a “failure” on their part.

The Brexit party leader had just given a speech as a part of his tour of the country. Mr Farage was campaigning ahead of the start of the European elections this Thursday.
However, he is not the only victim to be covered in milkshake. Other European election candidates have suffered the same fate. For instance, Ex-English Defence League leader Tommy Robinson was also targeted earlier this month.
Mr Farage tweeted shortly after the incident. The tweet says, “Sadly some remainers have become radicalised, to the extent that normal campaigning is becoming impossible.
“For a civilised democracy to work you need the losers consent, politicians not accepting the referendum result have led us to this.”
