Germany has been confirmed as England’s last-16 opponent next Tuesday at Wembley Stadium.
The Three Lions squad will face long-time opponents in a repeat of the infamous 1966 World Cup Final.
Germany’s Kai Havertz and Leon Goretzka scored to secure a 2-2 draw for their team against group outsiders Hungary.
The result was enough for Germany to finish second in the group after France drew 2-2 with Portugal in the other Group F game.
Germany were the clear favourites to win the game but went behind twice to Hungary in Munich.
France progress as group winners, with Portugal, also going through as one of the best third-place finishers.
