Bowen out as West Ham prepare to face Backa Topola in the Europa League
West Ham travel to Serbia for the fifth game in their Europa League group qualifier against FK TSC Backa Topola. However the Hammers will be without Jarrod Bowen due to injury.
Jarrod Bowen will not be available for West Ham United in their upcoming fixture.
The London player injured his knee whilst out on international duty with England two weeks ago. Despite hopes of a quick recovery, he is still not fit enough to play. This represents a big loss for the London club as Bowen has produced nine goals and two assists in all 2023-24 tournaments so far.
Michael Antonio is also unavailable for the fixture meaning there is a chance that 19-year-old Newham-born Divine Mubama will start. A potential start for Mubama would represent a huge opportunity as his two previous outings in the tournament were as a substitute.

“We respect all the opponents we play,”
Despite injuries, Hammers fans are confident of a good result against their opponents, who sit third in the Serbian SuperLiga.
West Ham United manager David Moyes, however, has instructed his players to make sure they don’t overlook their opposition. On Wednesday night’s press conference, he added:
The Hammers sit on the same points as Europa League group A leaders Freiberg and a victory would send them to the top of the group. A win would also take them eight points above third place Olympiakos, making it likely they will qualify for the next round of the competition.
The Hammers take on Backa at 17:45 on the night of 30 November.
