This weekend’s FA Cup final sees Crystal Palace take on Manchester City at Wembley.
The match on Saturday will be a chance for London-based Palace to prove themselves against the titans of modern English football – the treble winners, European champions and record-breaking centurions: Manchester City.
Palace have the potential to make history. If they win, it’ll be their first ever major trophy since the club’s formation in 1905.

Among those dreaming of glory is lifelong season ticket holder, Joss Heaver. He says fans have confidence that Palace can triumph over City.

He says there is a genuine confidence among fans that they can win, and that he has big plans to celebrate if they do.
“I think we’ve got the players, they’ve been in finals, they’ve been around winning…. I think if we do win, it’ll be bedlam”

It’s not just local fans making the journey to Wembley for the final. City News spoke to Tom Richards, a student currently in Cambodia who is travelling back to London for Saturday’s match.
“I’ll be taking a seven-hour bus to Bangkok,” says Tom. “I’m flying to Bangkok to Heathrow and then I have one day before the final.”
An average flight from Bangkok to London takes 17 hours.

Palace have come close to victory in the FA Cup before, reaching the final in 1990 and again in 2016, both times facing off against Manchester United.
After two previous heartbreaks, fans are hoping that their match up this year against the blue side of Manchester will prove that third time’s a charm.
