Pre-sale tickets for Adele’s summer performances in Hyde Park have sold out within thirty minutes of release.

The 2022 shows at the British Summertime Festival will be the “Easy on Me” singer’s first live performances since 2017.

Shortly after pre-sale access opened at 10 am, fans took to Twitter to complain about long virtual queues of over 100,000 people.

“Adele’s website is broken,” one Twitter user wrote, while another added, “I want to cry.”

Pricey tickets

Many fans were also unhappy about the prices of tickets, which range from £90.45 for general admission to £434.95 for the VIP Terrace.

The London-born singer announced the shows on Tuesday and asked fans to register for the pre-sale via a link on her website.

The BST Hyde Park festival will also feature performances from Sir Elton John, Duran Duran and Pearl Jam. The festival returns after a two year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Another round of pre-sale tickets will start on Friday at 10 for American Express Card members. Tickets go on general sale from 10 am on Saturday.

The singer had to cancel the final two dates of her 2017 tour due on doctor’s orders. However, people who missed out then were not guaranteed tickets for her next performances.

Upcoming album

The London performances will include songs from her long-awaited fourth album, 30. The album is scheduled for release on 19 November.

Adele released Easy on Me, a single from the upcoming album, on 15 October. The song broke records for the highest number of streams on sites like Spotify and Amazon Music. It has topped charts in dozens of countries, including Australia, Germany and the UK.

The 33-year-old singer has not yet announced a full tour for her upcoming album.
