London has made the second highest number of vegan food takeaway orders this January, compared to other cities in the country, .

This comes as London was named the most “vegan-friendly city in the world” last month, in terms of the number of vegan restaurants in close proximity and its impression of “vegan-friendliness”.

The data released by food delivery company Just Eat analyse the number of vegan food orders made so far during so-called Veganuary, where people decide to adopt a plant-based diet to kick-start the new year.

The top four cities for vegan mains choices were Edinburgh, London, Belfast and Cardiff.

  • 2: Waltham Forest – 0.71%
  • =3: Camden – 0.53%

  • =30: Sutton – 0.08%
  • =30: Croydon – 0.08%
